James Kennett from The University of California in Santa Barbara almost proved that the last glaciation is connected with the fall of a meteorite (1). I, basing on the work by A. P. Nevsky (2), rephrase the question: a number of closely connected natural and even historical phenomena can be only explained by one general source — close passing of a meteoric object. We consider these phenomena in turn and in interrelations.
